Janice Whitehead(Ikenobo School), Judy Sheldon(Ohara School), Paula Nachman(Sogetsu School), Annette Ernst(Keika-Kazan School), Alice Lichfield(Ichiyo School) and Helena Arouca(Sangetsu School) presented a demonstration entitled "Six Ikebana Schools---A Members' Spring Showcase”. A video demonstration was shown. Laurie Wareham, Ichiyo Master from Elm Grove Wisconsin demonstrated arrangements incorporating natural and unnatural
materials in the video demonstration. Ikebana of Richmond members, Evelyn Klumb (Ikenobo school), Linda Taylor (Ohara school), Gerry Smith (Ichiyo school) and Helena Arouca (Sangetsu school) presented a demonstration entitled "Seasonal Haiku and Ikebana". They interpreted Haiku which they had personally selected and created their arrangements.
Alice Lichfield presented a lecture/demonstration entitled "Back to Basics". She joined Ikebana of Richmond in 1995 and received her instructor certificate in 2010. Alice has been very active demonstrating at Virginia Museum of Arts, The Richmond Council Garden Clubs, judges the Piedmont District Garden Clubs and numerous gardens in Richmond and Tri Cities. She also exhibited at the Reston Regional Library and at the Ikebana of Richmond.
Duffy Boyd presented a lecture/demonstration entitled ”Contrast in Ikebana”. She is a Junior Master in the Ichiyo School of Ikebana, and member of Ikebana International Chapter I, Washington, DC, she served as General Workshop Chair. She continues studying with the Executive Master of Ichiyo School, Valerie Eccleston. She conducted a workshop entitled “Contrast in Form” following the demonstration.

Karen Napoli presented the Ellen Gordon Allen Annual Lecture/Demonstration entitled “A Walk in the Woods’ – “To Emphasize Ichiyo’s Love of Nature”. She is a Master in the Ichiyo School of Ikebana. She began her study of Ichiyo in 1993. Upon moving back to Tokyo in 2000 she resumed lessons directly under Headmaster Kasuya for 6 years, which greatly influenced her interpretation and understanding of this art. Upon moving back to the US, she continued lessons under Executive Master Shirley Winkler in Pennsylvania, traveling to Japan every 5 years to study under the Iemoto and earned her Executive Master Certificate in 2012. She conducted a workshop entitled "Using Baskets” following the demonstration and 2 workshops entitled "Contrast Form” and "Working with Color" on the following day. April 7, 2016
Donna Scott presented a Lecture/Demonstration entitled “Ikebana: Harmony Within Our Environment”. She is a master of Ichiyo school of Ikebana. She is a past president of The Atlanta Bonsai Society and a past president of Ikebana International Atlanta where she is currently serving as Treasurer. She is a student in the Ichiyo School of Ikebana, serves as the 1st Vice President of the Ichiyo Atlanta Chapter. She conducted a workshop entitled “Mingei” following the demonstration. February 5, 2015 Laura Anne Brooks (Ikenobo school), Judy Sheldon (Ohara school), Beth Gillispie (Sogetsu school) and Alice Litchfield, Helen Bunch and Shirley Woodle (Ichiyo school) presented a demonstration entitled "Introduction to Four Schools of Ikebana". 19 arrangements were on display for the Member Showcase; 6 from the Ikenobo School, 5 from the Ohara School, 4 from the Sogetsu School and 4 from the Ichiyo School.
