Libby Haynes, Fourth grade teacher of Sogetsu school created a Bamboo Taisaku arrangement entitled "Elements" at Maymont. Elements are Line, Mass and Color.
Her family and 6 IOR members helped to arrange. Terri Todd presented a demonstration entitled “Weeds for ikebana”. She is a junior executive master in the Ichiyo school of Ikebana, which is a contemporary school of Japanese flower arranging. She received her training from the director of the Ichiyo Art Center, Executive Master Elaine Jo. Ichiyo Headmaster, Akihiro Kasuya appointed her founding president of the Ichiyo Asheville study group in 2001. She conducted the workshop entitled "Group Contrast" following the demonstration and 2 workshops entitled "Variation of Supports" and "Combining Natural Plant Materials And Non Plant Materials" on the following day.
